Anson Regional Medical Services, Incorporated (ARMS) is a private non-profit North Carolina corporation governed by a Board Of Directors. Federal regulation requires that a majority of board members are health care patients.
ARMS has established linkages with the following agencies: Union Regional Medical Center and URMC, ACTS, WIC & ACHD, Anson County Department of Social Services and Community Shelters.

Anson Regional Medical Services, Inc. (ARMS) is a 501 c(3), North Carolina corporation established in 1992. The primary mission is to provide total quality and accessible community oriented health care in a financially sustainable manner; delivered in a compassionate, person-friendly, culturally sensitive environment and when necessary in collaboration with related community agencies.
The Federally Supported Health Centers Assistance Act of 1992 and 1995 granted medical malpractice liability protection through the Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA) to HRSA supported health centers..
The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) in accordance with the Federally Supported Health Centers Assistance Act (FSHCAA, as amended, sections 224 (g)-(n) of the Public Health Services (PHS) Act, 42 U.S.C. $$ 233(g)-(n), deems Anson Regional Medical Services to be an employee of PHS, for the purposes of section 224. This Deeming Action is also confirmation of medical malpractice coverage for Anson Regional Medical Services and its covered individuals.
