Federal Tort Claims Act
ARMS is a private non-profit North Carlonia corporation governed by a Board of Directors. Federal regulation requires that a majority of board members are health patients.
The Federal Supported Health Centers Assistance Act of 1992 and 1995 granted medical malpractice liability protection through the Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA) to HRSA-supported health centers.
The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) in accordance with the Federally Supported Health Centers Assistance Act (FSHCAA, as amended, sections 224 (g)-(n) of the Public Health Services (PHS) Act, 42 U.S.C. $233 (g)-(n), deems Anson Regional Medical Services to be an employee of PHS, for the purposes of section 224. This Deeming Action is also confirmation of medical malpractice coverage for Anson Regional Medical Services and its covered individuals.
